Harrison Smith Biography

Harrison Smith is an NFL free safety who currently plays for the Minnesota Vikings. Prior to his time in the NFL, Smith was a highly recruited prospect out of Tennessee, eventually deciding to play collegiately at Notre Dame University. Smith would play four seasons at Notre Dame, amassing 309 tackles, seven interceptions, and 3.5 sacks. After graduating in 2011, Smith entered the NFL Draft, where he was taken in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings. Smith would go on to have a great rookie season, starting all 16 games and recording three interceptions, including two for touchdowns. In a little less than three seasons with the Vikings, Smith has recorded nine interceptions, four sacks, and 240 tackles. Smith looks to be a great young prospect, and will be a key asset to the Vikings as they continue to rebuild.
