About Guy McIntyre
Guy McIntyre is a former NFL offensive lineman, and is famous for his time with the San Francisco 49ers. McIntyre began his football career at the University of Georgia, where he played well enough to be drafted in the third round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. McIntyre would go on to have a great career with the 49ers, winning three Super Bowls and five straight Pro-Bowls from 1989 to 1993. While with the 49ers, McIntyre became one of the first offensive lineman to be used as a blocking back, and he ran the formation to perfection in Bill Walsh’s “Elephant” formation. After nine years in San Francisco, McIntyre joined the Green Bay Packers for one season, before spending his final two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
