About Geno Smith
Geno Smith is a starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders. Smith has a career renaissance with the Seattle Seahawks, first joining as a backup in 2019 before he took over the reigns for Russell Wilson in 2022. That year, he was NFL Comeback Player of the Year after throwing for 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns.
Smith earned back-to-back Pro Bowl bids and was arguably even better for Seattle in 2024. That year, he set franchise records for competition percentage and passing yards.
He first joined the NFL as a second-round pick by the New York Jets in 2013. Smith was the Jets starter for his first two years. He was previously a college star at West Virginia and a two-time All-Big East Conference selection. Smith set an Orange Bowl passing record in 2012 and was named MVP of the game after a 70-33 win over Clemson. He went on to his second-straight 4,000 yard passing season as a senior before declaring for the Draft.
