About Gary Fencik
Gary Fencik is a former professional safety for the Chicago Bears of the NFL and he is currently an executive at Adam Street Partners. Fencik attended Yale University where he played football and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1976. Fencik earned his MBA from Northwestern University in 1985. The Miami Dolphins selected Fencik in the 10th round as the 281st overall pick in the 1976 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Chicago Bears in 1976 and spent his entire career with the Bears. In 1986, Fencik was featured on the cover of GQ Magazine. In his playing career, Fencik was a 2x Pro Bowl selection, 1x AP First-team All-Pro, 2x Pro Football Weekly First-team All-Pro, 1x AP Second-team All-Pro and he was a Super Bowl Champion. After his football career, Fencik transitioned into the finance industry. Prior to working with Adam Street Partners, Fencik worked with Wells Fargo and UBS. He also served as a sports commentator on WGN radio.
