About Eric Axley
Eric Axley began his professional golfing career in 1997 after a college career at Tennessee State University. He began his career bouncing around various tours including NGA Hooters Tour, Nationwide Tour, and the Web.com Tour before he earned his PGA Tour card. After two wins on the NGA Hooters Tour and a win at the Rex Hospital Open on the Nationwide Tour, Axley began competing full time on the PGA Tour. Shortly after, Axley won his first PGA Tour event with a -15 finish in the 2006 Valero Texas Open. He was unsuccessful in the next few years and lost his PGA Tour card following the 2009 season. In 2014, Axley made a serious push to regain full-time status on the PGA Tour and by making the cut in 7 of his 10 events and a 50th place finish in the Web.com Tour Finals, he earned the last card for the Tour.
