About Eric Adelson
Upon graduation from Harvard University and Columbia University's School of Journalism, Eric Adelson began his professional sports writing career for ESPN The Magazine in 1998. Adelson specialized in writing pieces that reflect the psychological side of athletes and the effects that sports have on them. His piece on mental illnesses as a result of sports gained national attention and he has been featured several times on Outside the Lines. Adelson has written several feature stories for ESPN, including a special on Michelle Wie. Adelson turned his special into his first book "The Sure Thing: The Making and Unmaking of Golf Phenom Michelle Wie." The award-winning writer also spent time at Yahoo Sports as a feature sports writer.
