About Drew Weatherford
Drew Weatherford is a former collegiate and professional quarterback who is most famous for his time at Florida State University. A highly touted high school quarterback, Weatherford committed to Florida State in 2003, and earned the starting job in 2005 as a redshirt freshman. That season, Weatherford led the Seminoles to an Orange Bowl berth, a loss to Penn State in triple overtime. For the next few seasons of his career, Weatherford would remain the starter but would experience a rash of injuries, missing a few games every season. In 2008, Weatherford was demoted to third string duties, essentially ending his FSU career. Following his graduation, Weatherford attended mini camps with the NFL’s Saints, Bears, and Patriots, eventually ending up as a backup QB for the Arena Football League’s Tampa Bay Storm in 2010. Weatherford retired from the game in 2010, and is now a business CEO who runs his own company.
