About Derek Rackley
Derek Rackley was one of the best in the business when it came to send long snaps back to NFL punters and catching passes as a tight end at football’s highest level. Although he wasn’t drafted out of the University of Minnesota in 2000 he still pursued his dream and landed a pro contact with the Atlanta Falcon. He’d go on to play for the Falcons for five seasons before ending his career as a Seattle Seahawk in 2007. The highlight of his career, other than being a valued teammate for seven seasons in the NFL, came in 2001 when he caught his first touchdown pass against the Miami Dolphins. After his career came to an end he pursued a career in broadcasting and is now a color commentator for Westwood One.
