David Wilson

David Wilson is the pride of Danville, Virginia and broke school records with 2,291 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns while playing at George Washington High School.  After being selected as the Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year he signed with Virginia Tech and became a star, rushing for a school record 1,709 yards in 2011 in route to earning ACC Player of the Year honors.  After the 2011 season he was selected by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.  During his rookie season he broke a Giants single game record for most all-purpose yards, accumulating 327 all-purpose yards on 227 kick return yards and 100 yards rushing.  His performance made him the first player in NFL history to record 200 kick return yards and 100 rushing yards in the same game.  In week 5 of the 2013 season he suffered a neck injury and was forced to retire from the game.  However, as a former track and field star at Virginia Tech, he used his injury as an opportunity to return to the track as a triple jumper and is currently training for a professional career in track and field.
