About David Beaty
David Beaty is the former head football coach at Kansas and current wide receivers coach at FAU. While the Jayhawks program was a perennial doormat, Beaty did lead them to a Big 12 conference win over Texas in 2016.
Before becoming head coach, he had two previous stints at KU as an assistant. Immediately prior to taking the head job in Lawrence, Beaty was the wide receivers coach at Texas A&M for three seasons. He also spent three years coaching at Rice, including the 2010 season as offensive coordinator. Beaty's coaching career began on the high school level in Texas. He played college football at Lindenwood University.
