Darya Klishina Biography

Darya Klishina was born and raised in Tver, Russia in 1991 and is one of the best long jumpers in her nations history. She began long jumping at the age of 13, and quickly gained notoriety for her ability to finish high at every event. Known for her physical strength and quiet and calm demeanor, Klishina has an uncanny ability to reign in her emotions to concentrate on her event no matter her surroundings or how big the stage is. As a junior she won the World Junior Championship, World Youth Championship, European Junior Championship twice and the Novi Sad European Junior Championship and has gone on to earn two medals at Diamond League vents. Also known for her work ethic both on and off the track, currently she ranks third on the World Rankings in long jump and is one of the top competitors heading into the 2016 Olympic Games.
