About Darron Thomas
Darron Thomas has played in the Arena Football League since 2014 and has become one of their most exciting players at the quarterback position. Thomas has always been entertaining on the field, establishing himself as a speedster at the quarterback position while playing at Aldine High School in Aldine, Texas. Upon joining the Oregon Ducks he fit right in with their run and gun offensive scheme and led them to a 24-3 record as a starter, including a trip to the BCS National Championship game in 2011 and a win in the Rose Bowl in 2012. During his career at Oregon he threw for 5,910 yards and 66 touchdowns and also rushed for 719 yards and nine touchdowns in route to earning All-Pac 10 honors. After his junior season he declared for the NFL Draft and then headed to the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders. In 2014 he signed with the Lincoln Haymakers in the Champions Professional Indoor Football League and then headed to the Arena Football League with the Portland Thunder.
