About Dan Haren
Dan Haren was an MLB pitcher who was selected to three All-Star Games. Before he was in the MLB, Haren was a top collegiate pitcher at Pepperdine University, winning multiple awards such as WCC Player of the Year in 2001. Following that season, Haren chose to forego his senior season to sign with the St. Louis Cardinals who had selected him in the second round of the 2001 MLB Draft. Two years later, Haren made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in a game against the San Francisco Giants. After the 2004 season, Haren was traded to the Oakland Athletics, where he would play for three seasons, earning his first All Star bid in 2007. In 2007, Haren was traded again, this time to the Arizona Diamondbacks. His time with the Diamondbacks would solidify Haren as one of the game’s top pitchers, earning two more All Star nods in 2008 and 2009. Following stops with the Los Angeles Angels, the Washington Nationals, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Haren was traded to the Miami Marlins and finished his career with the Chicago Cubs in 2015.
