Conrad Dobler

Conrad Dobler is a former professional football player for the National Football League. He is most famously known for his time spent with the St. Louis Cardinals, as he debuted professionally with them in 1972 and spent the majority of his career as a Cardinal. Dobler was born in Illinois in 1950 and went on to pursue football at the University of Wyoming. From there, he entered the 1972 NFL Draft and was selected in the fifth round by the St. Louis Cardinals. Earning all three of his Pro-Bowl selections with the Cardinals in his last three consecutive seasons with them, Dobler will always be a Cardinal at heart. He was traded to the New Orleans Saints for two seasons and again to the Buffalo Bills for two seasons. Dobler played a total of 129 professional games over a span of nine years. After announcing his retirement from the game, he faced hard times when his knee called for nine replacement surgeries and a traumatic accident left his wife as a paraplegic. Dobler accepted help from those around him and made the best of the situations, as the NFL taught him how to be a fighter.
