About CJ Ham
CJ Ham is an American NFL fullback for the Minnesota Vikings. A standout at Denfeld High School, he earned All-State honors in football and was a two-time state champion in wrestling. At Augustana University, a Division II school, Ham played running back from 2011 to 2015, rushing for 2,662 yards and 24 touchdowns while adding 803 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He was named NSIC Offensive Player of the Year in 2015.
Undrafted in 2016, Ham signed with the Vikings as a free agent and made the roster as a fullback, a rare position in the modern NFL. Known for his blocking, versatility, and special teams contributions, he has played nine seasons (2016–2024) with Minnesota, appearing in 137 games (34 starts) through 2024, with 93 carries for 376 yards, 73 receptions for 595 yards, and eight total touchdowns.
In 2025, he will continue as the Vikings' primary fullback, valued for his leadership and physicality. A 2019 Pro Bowl alternate, Ham signed a two-year, $5.6 million extension in 2023. He is active in community outreach, particularly in Duluth, and is married with three children. His cousin, Blake Cashman, is a Vikings linebacker.
