About Chris Hatcher
Chris Hatcher is a pitcher for the Oakland Athletics. Hatcher joined the A's towards the end of the 2017 season and pitched in 23 games while posting a 3.52 ERA. He had previously spent parts of three seasons as a primary member of the Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen. The Miami Marlins originally selected him in the fifth round of the 2006 MLB Draft. Hatcher is a unique player who went through the minor leagues and made his major league debut as a position player before converting to a pitcher. He came up with the Marlins in 2010 as a catcher. The following season, Hatcher again made it to the big league level, but this time on the mound. He spent three seasons at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and hit over ,300 each year.
