Chas Henry is a professional punter in American football after a stand out career at the University of Florida from 2007-2010. In high school, Henry impressed college scouts with his big leg, including a school record 66 yard punt as a senior. He accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida where he was the starting punter for 4 seasons, including the 2008 BCS National Championship team. As a senior, Henry averaged 45.1 yards per punt with a career long 75 yarder and pinning 16 of his punts within his opponent’s 20 yard line. Henry was recognized as a First-Team All-American and was awarded the 2010 Ray Guy Award for college football’s most outstanding punter of the year. Like many punters, Henry went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft but signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and began the 2011 season as their starting punter. Henry competed for the starting job of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013 before being cut by the team later that year.
