About Charlie Whitehurst
Charlie Whitehurst was a standout high school athlete who accepted an athletics scholarship to Clemson University where he was a 4-year starting quarterback for the Tigers. Whitehurst had a successful career at Clemson, throwing for 9,665 yards and becoming the first Clemson QB to win all 4 games against rival South Carolina. White was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Whitehurst has been a well-respected backup in the NFL ever since, earning himself the nickname Clipboard Jesus for his long hair. After 3 seasons with the Chargers, Whitehurst played for the Seattle Seahawks where he earned several starts in his second season. He has since returned to the Chargers for another season before joining the Tennessee Titans in 2014.
