About Chad Fernandez
Chad Fernandez is a professional skateboarder. At 11 years old, Fernandez took some of his first runs on Mountain’s own ramp. Within two years of skating Fernandez got on Alva and he had already began skating with legends. In 1991, Fernandez was riding for the Powell flow team. Fernandez also spent time skating on the CASL and NSA amateur circuits. Fernandez has been skating for 27 years and he has been a professional for 17. Fifth Avenue Skateboards, Brooklyn Projects, Independent Trucks, Diamond/Grizzly and Ashbury currently sponsor Fernandez. When he is not practicing skateboarding he appears in commercials, TV shows, music videos and movies. Some of the movies that Fernandez has appeared in are Grind, and Lords of Dogtown. Fernandez’s happiest skating memories come from the mid to late 1990s when he was a pre skate stopper and street skating was wide open. His proudest accomplishment has been that he has made it this far.
