About Casey Weldon
Casey Weldon is a former professional quarterback and he is best known for his collegiate career. Weldon attended Florida State University in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Weldon led the Seminoles to a 10-2 record and a win over Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl. Weldon was named the winner of the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which signified him as the best quarterback in college football. He was also named a first-team All-American. Upon graduating, Weldon’s 4,643 yards of total offense ranked as the second highest in school history and he left FSU as the runner up for the 1991 Heisman Trophy. The Philadelphia Eagles selected Weldon as the 102nd overall pick in the 1992 NFL Draft. Weldon also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Barcelona Dragons, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins, and the Birmingham Thunderbolts. In 2006, Weldon became the varsity head football coach at North Florida Christian High School.
