Case Keenum

Case Keenum is a veteran quarterback who currently plays for the Houston Texans. Keenum attended college at the University of Houston where he was redshirted his freshman year. Keenum was granted sixth year of eligibility in 2011. Prior to the 2011 season, Keenum was named the 2011 Conference USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. The Houston Texans signed Keenum as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and he was placed on the practice squad for the entire season. On October 17, 2013, it was announced that Keenum would be the starting quarterback over T.J. Yates in week 7. Keenum made his NFL Debut on October 20, 2013. On August 31, 2014, Keenum was waived by the Texans and on September 1, 2014, he signed with the St. Louis Rams. On October 28, 2014, he was waived by the Rams to make room for Mark Barron, but he re-signed to the Rams’ practice squad on October 30. On December 15, 2014, the Rams waived Keenum and he signed with the Houston Texans.He finally became a full-time starter in 2017 with the Minnesota Vikings and took advantage of the opportunity. He led the Vikings to 13 wins while throwing for over 3,500 yards and 22 touchdowns. Keenum left Minnesota in the offseason and had another standout season as a starter with the Denver Broncos before joining the Redskins. Keenum started eight games in 2019 before signing with Cleveland to be the primary backup in 2020.
