About Bryce Petty
Many people did not think anyone could come close to duplicating the performance of Robert Griffin III at Baylor until Bryce Petty came along. Petty led the Bears to two Big 12 Championships as a starter. In his junior year, he threw for 4,200 yards, 32 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. That earned Petty Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors. As a senior, he threw for 3,855 yards and amassed 35 total touchdowns. Petty also threw for a Cotton Bowl record 550 yards in his final game and even though Baylor lost 42-41 to Michigan State he was named Offensive MVP of the game. Coming out of Midlothian High School in Texas, Petty was considered the 25th best quarterback prospect in the Class of 2010 according to Rivals.com.
