About Brian Jones
Brian Jones has been the head coach at North Dakota since 2006. He had his greatest success with the Fighting Hawks in 2017. They finished 22-10 and won the Big Sky Conference regular season and postseason titles. UND also made their first NCAA Tournament appearances under Jones. He was named Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year. Jones has guided North Dakota to five appearances in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament as well. The Fighting Hawks also won two Great West Tournament Championships before transitioning to the Big Sky. He built his coaching resume on Steve Alford's staffs at Southwest Missouri State and Iowa. Those teams made four trips to the NCAA Tournament. Jones began his coaching career at Nebraska-Omaha after a college playing career at Northern Iowa.
