About Brian Bowles
Brian Bowles is a professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Bantamweight division within the UFC promotion. Originally born in West Virginia, Bowles moved to Georgia while he was in the eighth grade, and began to wrestle for his high school team. Following his graduation from high school, Bowles showed an interest in mixed martial arts, and he began training at The HardCore Gym. During his amateur career, Bowles went 7-0, earning enough respect and training to turn professional in 2006, winning his first three fights by stoppage. His first organized fights came with World Extreme Cagefighting, where he would win five straight bouts until experiencing his first loss to Dominick Cruz in 2010. Late in 2010, World Extreme Cagefighting and Ultimate Fighting Championship merged together, bringing Bowles into the equation for the United States top MMA promotion. Bowles has fought four times in the UFC, losing his last two fights.
