About Bobby Wilder
Bobby Wilder is the head football coach at Old Dominion. He led the school as they restarted football in 2009. They have moved from the FCS independent ranks all the way to the FBS level and Conference USA. In 2011 and 2012, the Monarchs won at least ten games and finished ranked in the FCS top ten. Old Dominion won at least five games in all five seasons at the FCS level. They had immediate success under Wilder in C-USA as well, compiling a 6-6 record in 2014. Two years later, they tied for first place in the C-USA East Division, won nine regular season games and earned a trip to the Bahamas Bowl. Before coming to Old Dominion, Wilder spent 17 seasons in a variety of coaching capacities at Maine. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Boston College. He played college football as a quarterback at Maine.
