About Bob Burns
Bob Burns is a professional golfer that has played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour since turning professional. Burns was a member of the golf team in college at Cal State Northridge where he won All-American honors in his junior year and was an individual medalist at the 1990 NCAA Division II Championship. After turning pro in 1991, he has won the Nike (Nationwide) Tour Player of the Year in 1998. He first played on the PGA Tour starting in 1994 and has gone on to earn a victory. Burns went through ups and downs early in his career including having his home ravaged by a massive earthquake and missing the tour by one stroke, but things got better. In 1998 his fortunes turned for the better when he won two tournaments and in 2002 he won once and earned over a million dollars in a single season for the first time in his career.
