Bob Brown Biography

Nicknamed “The Boomer,” Bob Brown is a former offensive tackle in college and the National Football League. Brown attended the University of Nebraska and was an All-American and the offensive lineman of the year in 1963, where he was a star on the field. His work on the field earned him a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame and his number 64 was retired by Nebraska. All of that propelled him to become the second overall pick in the 1964 NFL Draft. Brown became the NFL Rookie of the Year and quickly began racking up the awards in his career. Bob was selected to the Pro Bowl six times, he was named an AP first-team All-Pro selection five times, and named the offensive lineman of the year three times. The production he had in his 126 career games led to Brown also earning a spot in the Eagles Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
