About Austin Collie
Austin Collie was an NFL wide receiver that broke out with Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. Collie was an immediate success as a rookie in 2009 catching 60 passes for 676 yards and seven touchdowns. He was just as good in his sophomore season, with 58 receptions for 649 yards and eight scores. Unfortunately, Collie suffered two concussions in 2010 that derailed his season, may have altered his career, and added to the debate about head injuries in football. He had two more seasons of much less productivity with the Colts and minimum impact in one campaign with the New England Patriots. Indianapolis made Collie a fourth round pick out of BYU in 2009 NFL Draft. He had a banner 2008 season, leading the NCAA in receiving yards and garnering All-American honors. Collie was born in Canada while his father was playing in the CFL. His dad and brother both played at BYU.
