About Amari Cooper
Amari Cooper had a standout NFL career at wide receiver, becoming a four-time Pro Bowler. The Oakland Raiders originally selected him with the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, and he made back-to-back Pro Bowl bids in his first two years. After being traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 2018, Cooper continued to be a productive 1,000-yard receiver. He was traded to the Browns in 2022.
Cooper first broke out in college at Alabama. He was a finalist for the 2014 Heisman Trophy and winner of the Fred Biletnikoff Trophy presented to the nation’s best wide receiver. Cooper’s standout season where he went for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns helped the Crimson Tide to the SEC title. Following a freshman season in which he had 1,000 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns, Alabama won the BCS National Championship in 2013.Cooper had 105 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout win over Notre Dame.He left school with every major game, season, and career receiving record for the Tide program.With three 100-yard games in his career against hated rival Auburn, he may be the greatest receiver in Iron Bowl history.
Cooper was a consensus top ten wide receiver recruit in the country coming out of Miami Northwestern High School. During his junior season, he was future NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s main target at Northwestern. Cooper’s senior year saw him make the FHSAA 8A All-State team and get invited to the Under Armour All-American Game.
