About Alex Tanney
Alex Tanney is best known as “The Trick Shot Quarterback”. While a college QB at Monmouth, Tanney made a video that went viral that showed him completing various throwing feats. That video has over four million views on YouTube. After his newfound web fame, he filmed an episode of “Stan Lee’s Superhumans” for the History Channel. At Monmouth, Tanney set the NCAA record for career touchdown passes with 157 and the Division III record for career passing yards. To achieve both records, Tanney had to battle back from a torn A-C joint that forced him to miss most of the 2010 season. As a junior, he was awarded the Melberger Trophy as Division III’s top player in 2009. Tanney went undrafted in 2012, but he has seen time with several NFL teams. Originally from Lexington, Illinois, he is his state’s all-time high school leader in career pass completions.
