About Alex Delvecchio
Alex Delvecchio is a legendary Detroit Red Wings center and Hockey Hall of Famer. His 24 year career in the Motor City saw him finish with 1281 points, which at the time of his retirement was good for second in NHL history. Delvecchio won three Stanley Cups with the Red Wings and his #10 jersey hangs in the Joe Louis Arena rafters. Only Steve Yzerman was Red Wings captain longer than his 12 years. The 13-time All-Star played almost his entire career with the legendary Gordie Howe. Delvecchio teamed with Howe and fellow Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay to form “The Production Line”, a famed NHL scoring line. He played just a single season in the Ontario Hockey League and six games in the American Hockey League before joining Detroit. Delvecchio coached the team upon his retirement for four seasons and was also general manager for a period of time. After that, he went into business for himself.
