He had a winding college career spanning seven seasons playing at Oregon (2018–2020), where he backed up Justin Herbert, Texas Tech (2021–2023), and finished at Louisville (2024), earning Comeback Player of the Year honors with 3,195 passing yards and 23 touchdowns in his final season.
