Wrestler Jordan Burroughs Ready for Another Olympic Run

With the 2016 Rio Olympics just a year away, many Team USA favorites will become household names again.  Wrestler Jordan Burroughs is starting that build-up for the Games again.

Burroughs won gold at the Pan Am Games this past weekend.  He has been making various TV appearances recently and will be at the World Championships in September.

At his alma mater Nebraska, the training regimen never lets up either in preparation for the U.S. Olympic Trials in April.   It was with the Huskers that Burroughs became a three-time All-American and two-time undefeated national champion.

After freestyle wrestling gold in 2012, one would think Burroughs is a shoe-in for the team.  In the lead-up to those Olympics, he became just the fourth wrestler to capture an NCAA title and world championship in the same year.

Since London, Burroughs has added another gold and a bronze at Worlds to his trophy case.  He also has a one-year-old son, Beacon, that he would like to win gold for again.
