UCF Head Coach George O'Leary Speaks in Downtown Orlando Wednesday Night

UCF spirit will be on display in downtown Orlando Wednesday night.  The Knights’ head football coach George O’Leary headlines a Downtown Huddle event at Cheyenne Saloon on Church Street.

The event runs from 6-8 p.m. and O’Leary will address the crowd around 7 p.m.  Entry is free, complimentary food and beverages will be provided, and the first 100 fans will receive a UCF shirt.

There will also be a drawing to attend one game during the season in the new East Side Club being built in Brighthouse Networks Stadium.  O’Leary will share thoughts on the upcoming 2015 season, which starts September 3rd at home against FIU.

Entering his 11th season at UCF, he has built the program into a consistent winner.  The Knights have won nine or more games in four of the last five seasons.

In 2013, the program reached unprecedented heights by beating Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl.  With a 12-1 final record, they finished ranked tenth in the AP Top 25 poll as well.

Overall, O’Leary is 133-93 in his head coaching career and 81-60 at UCF.  He has won four conference Coach of the Year awards and four conference titles with the Knights.
