Raiders Great Tim Brown Keynotes FCA Event on Sunday

The Second Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Impact Awards takes place on Sunday. Former football star Tim Brown serves as keynote speaker. 

The event takes place at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center in Midland, Texas. Doors open at 2:30 and free general admission tickets are available on Sunday at the center. 

During the awards banquet, $22,000 in scholarship money will be handed out. There will also be awards for the FCA Huddle Leader of the Year and the Impact Coach of the Year. 

Brown played for the Raiders franchise for 16 of his 17 NFL seasons. He was considered one of the best wide receivers of his era, making nine Pro Bowls and being voted a two-time first-team All-Pro. 

Brown ranks sixth in league history with 14,934 receiving yards, sixth with 1,094 receptions and tied for ninth with 100 receiving touchdowns. He was also known as a dangerous return man and is the Raiders all-time leader in all-purpose yards. 

While at Notre Dame, Brown became the first wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame.
