PawSox Luncheon Welcomes Three-Time World Series Champion Manager Tony La Russa to Speak

Three-time World Series champion manager Tony La Russa recently joined the Boston Red Sox front office. He is already out talking about the organization to the public as well. 

La Russa will be the keynote speaker at the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce's PawSox Luncheon. The event will be held on April 4 at the Twin River Casino Event Center. 

La Russa will share fun stories from his baseball career in addition to enlightening attendees about his current role as Red Sox vice president and special assistant to the president of Baseball Operations. Those who attend will also get to meet the 2018 PawSox team. 

La Russa won a remarkable 2,728 games, which ranks third in baseball history. He had a 33-year managerial career with the Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals. 

La Russa won his first World Series with the A's in 1989 and later won championships with the Cardinals in 2006 and 2011. He was a four-time Manager of the Year. 

La Russa's #10 jersey was retired by the Cardinals and he is a member of the team's Hall of Fame. He was also elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
