Olympic Gold Medalist Bethanie Mattek-Sands Speaks at Tennis Congress

The Tennis Congress took place this past October, drawing enthusiasts from across the country. Olympic gold medalist Bethanie Mattek-Sands served as the closing keynote speaker. 

The half-week long conference was held at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tuscon, Arizona. There were over 250 recreational players and 75 instructors in attendance. 

Ther were a variety of clinics, demonstrations and indoor seminars to take part in. Mattek-Sands shared some tips about recovering from injury. 

Mattek-Sands is one of the top doubles players in the world and is currently ranked seventh in the world. She has won the Australian Open twice, the French Open twice and the U.S. Open once. 

Mattek-Sands has won 15 WTA Tour titles in women's doubles. She also won two Grand Slam mixed doubles titles and the 2016 Olympic gold medal in mixed doubles. 

Mattek-Sands has also been an accomplished singles player, reaching a high of 30th in the world. She has reached the semifinals of several events on the WTA Tour.
