There are not many names generating more buzz early in the NBA season than New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis. His play from the start has energized the Knicks franchise and caught the attention of many around the country.
With the Big Apple embracing their new star as well, Porzingis is slated to make a special autograph appearance. He will be at Maggie Spillane’s Ale House in Mount Vernon on January 14th for an event being dubbed, The Kristaps Porzingis Experience.
$69 tickets are available for autographs. Fans can also purchase The VIP Experience for $175 that includes an autograph ticket, a custom Porzingis jersey, an event t-shirt, and photo with the Knicks star.
Check-in begins at 6:00 p.m. that evening with the event starting at 7 p.m. Unsigned memorabilia will be available for purchase and JSA will also be on site for autograph authentication.
While many thought it would take time for Porzingis to develop on the NBA stage, he has become the early frontrunner for Rookie of the Year honors. He is currently averaging 14.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks.
Porzingis has been Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for October and November. He has already had several notable individual performances, including a 28 point showing against future Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki on Monday.
While the Latvian was mostly an unknown to the American audience after being selected fourth overall in this summer’s NBA Draft, he is also a growing marketing sensation. Porzingis has inked recent endorsement deals with BodyArmour, Delta, and Shifman Matress.
