New Nebraska Coach Scott Frost Set to Speak at Chamber Banquet This Month

Scott Frost is settling into his new role as Nebraska's head coach and his position as one of the biggest names in college coaching. He will talk about his new job as the featured speaker at the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Celebration.

The "Celebration of Leadership" takes place April 23 at Platte County Ag Park. Frost will share some of his own leadership stories with the top business executives in attendance.

He will talk about the culture he is trying to instill on his team at Nebraska. Chamber members can purchase tickets for $25 and non-members are $35.

Frost led the Cornhuskers to a national championship as a quarterback in 1997. He then embarked on a six-year NFL career as a special teams player.

Frost returned to his alma mater to begin his coaching career as a graduate assistant in 2002. He went on to roles at Kansas State and Northern Iowa before being named wide receivers coach at Oregon in 2009.

In 2013, Frost was promoted to offensive coordinator with the Ducks. He took over as the head coach at UCF in 2016 and led them to a perfect 13-0 season this past year.
