Michael Crabtree Hosts His Annual Gala and Youth Camp in Dallas June 12-13

New Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree may have changed teams, but this offseason is business as usual.  That includes Crabtree’s annual gala and youth mini-camp in Dallas.

The Spirit of Hope Gala is June 12th at the Joule Hotel.  Money raised benefits the Crab5 Foundation.

Stars scheduled to attend the gala include the Denver Broncos’ Von Miller, Indianapolis Colts’ Frank Gore, and Texas Tech football coach Kliff Kingsbury.  Tickets and sponsorship information can be found here.

At Lancaster High School the following day, 500 campers from the ages of 7-17 will gather to enhance their football skills.  The already sold-out camp will also provide lunch, a Jordan brand t-shirt, and a team bag.

Crabtree is about to embark on his seventh NFL season, but first in Oakland.  He spent the first six seasons of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, going for 4,327 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns.

His best season to date was 2012 when he caught 85 passes for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns.  Crabtree also led the NFL that postseason in receiving yards and touchdowns.

The Dallas, Texas native was a college star at Texas Tech before being selected tenth overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.  While with the Red Raiders he was a two-time unanimous All-American and won the Biletnikoff Trophy twice.
