Magic Johnson Named a Keynote Speaker for the 2016 Hearing Innovation Expo

Starkey Hearing Technologies is bringing in some big name speakers for its third annual Hearing Innovation Expo.  One of those from the world of sports is basketball legend Magic Johnson.

Johnson will join other speakers like former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton at the five-day convention at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, January 20-24.  3,400 hearing professionals attended last year’s events.

Johnson is one of the most impactful athletes of modern times.  Beloved for his play on the court, he has become even more successful and admired after basketball.

The Los Angeles Lakers won five NBA titles with Johnson running the show in the 1980s.  He was a three-time MVP, 12-time All-Star, and nine-time All-NBA first team selection as well.

Johnson is well known for being an advocate for HIV/AIDS prevention following his public admission of contracting the virus in 1991.  He has also gone on to many successful business ventures in retirement and is a co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
