Philanthropist Christian Athlete Set to Deliver Enduring Message of Hope and Service to Central Illinois Community
The American Red Cross has announced that Tim Tebow, Heisman Trophy winner, College Football Hall of Fame inductee, two-time national champion, New York Times bestselling author, and philanthropist, will be the special guest and keynote speaker at the 31st Annual Evening of the Stars. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 9th, in the Brown Ballroom at Illinois State University in Normal. The prestigious event will treat participants to dinner, testimony from Central Illinois heroes, and a special message from Tebow encouraging support for the Red Cross's important work.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Tim Tebow as the special guest for our 31st Annual Evening of Stars,” said Lyn Hruska, Executive Director of the Central Illinois Chapter of the American Red Cross. “While many know Tim for his accomplishments on the football field, what is even more inspiring is the impact he continues to make off the field through his humanitarian work, advocacy, entrepreneurship, and the incredible efforts of the Tim Tebow Foundation. His passion for serving others so closely reflects the mission and values of the Red Cross. We’re excited to bring our community together for an unforgettable evening that will celebrate compassion, inspire hope and help support the lifesaving work of the American Red Cross right here in Central Illinois.”
