Ickey Woods Named Guest Speaker at Window Genie Annual Conference

Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Ickey Woods served as the guest speaker at the 2015 Window Genie Annual Convention on January 21, 2015 in New Orleans.  At the event Window Genie Founder and CEO, Rick Nonelle, encouraged all Window Genie business partners to connect with their communities through giving back to local causes that they and their employees feel a connection with.

Nonelle put his own words into action when he supported the foundation founded by Woods, The Javonte Woods Foundation.  Ickey launched the foundation in honor of his son Javonte, whom he lost to a fatal asthma attack in 2010.  The mission of the Javonte Woods Foundation is to raise funds to support the work being done at Cincinnati Children's Asthma Research Division, to work with the LifeCenter Organ Donor Network to further education on the importance and impact of organ donation, and to award two scholarships a year to high school athletes in the tri-state area.

Nonelle was touched by the mission of The Javonte Woods Foundation, and decided to both support it and share it's mission with his business partners and employees.  In the week prior to the event, the Window Genie team presented a $1,000 donation to the Javonte Woods Foundation, and also contributed an additional $2,000 in donations.
