Hall of Famer Tim Brown Speaks at Fruit of the Spirit Awards Banquet September 16th

Hall of Famer Tim Brown has many motivational stories from his illustrious football career to share. He will recount some of them as the guest speaker at the 2nd annual Fruit of the Spirit Awards Banquet. 

The event takes place on September 16th at 2 p.m. at Sulphur Springs High School in Texas. It will be held in the school's cafeteria and is presented by Color Blind Ministries. 

Tickets are currently available for $25 at several locations around town. In addition to speaking, Brown will also hold a book signing. 

Brown first became a standout when he became the first wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy in 1987. He spent 16 of his 17 NFL seasons with the Raiders franchise. 

Brown went on to become a nine-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro. He currently ranks sixth in league history with 14,934 receiving yards, tied for third with 100 receiving touchdowns and third with 1,094 receptions. 

Brown was also one of the greatest returners in NFL history. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015 and is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
