Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis Set to Speak at Ohio Student-Athlete Banquets

Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis knows the value of hard work. He will share lessons about success at a series student-athlete banquets this spring in Ohio. 

Bettis is speaking at Best of Preps events in Stark, Summit, Tuscawaras and Wayne counties. It is the fourth straight year that a member of the Hall of Fame will be the headline guest, following Michael Irvin, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly

Bettis will be in Akron in June 11 and Canton on June 13. Tickets are around $50 for each special evening. 

Bettis had immediate success in pro football, going to Pro Bowls in his first two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He was also the 1993 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. 

After one off year, Bettis joined the Pittsburgh Steelers and truly established himself as an all-time great. He was the 1996 NFL Comeback Player of the Year and was named to four more Pro Bowls. 

Bettis capped his career in style, going out a winner in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan in Super Bowl XL. In addition to being a Hall of Famer, he is a member of the Steelers All-Time Team.
