Former NFL Running Back Shaun Alexander Keynotes Kona Ice Conference

Kona Ice held their conference at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. Former NFL running back Shaun Alexander served as keynote speaker.

The theme of the event was "Going Pro." Alexander has ties to the area since he played prep football at Boone County High School.

During the presentation, Alexander talked about going pro. It served as a productive conference for all Kona Ice franchisees.

Alexander had a nine-year NFL career at running back. He spent the first eight years with the Seattle Seahawks and was a three-time Pro Bowler.

Alexander was also a two-time first-team All-Pro. In 2005, he led the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns on the way to league Most Valuable Player honors.

Overall, Alexander rushed for 9,453 yards and 100 touchdowns. He played one final season for the Washington Redskins before retiring following the 2008 season.
