Former MLB Commissioner Peter Ueberroth Named Keynote Speaker at the The Kellogg Distinguished Lecture Series

The Kellogg Distinguished Lecture Series and the Cal Poly Pomona College of Business Administration’s Leadership Forum has announced Peter Ueberroth as the year’s first spring guest to give a keynote speech. Ueberroth served as the 6th commissioner of baseball from the years 1984-1988, and he also worked for the United States Olympic Committee until 2008. He will be giving a talk about entrepreneurial leadership in the sports business at the Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major on April 15. This event will be free of charge to the general public, but expect to pay a few dollars to get a parking spot. The talk will begin around 5pm and will end roughly at 7:15 p.m., after a question and answer session with the top businessman and sports guru.

Ueberroth is be most known for his days as a baseball commissioner, but he actually is a man of many hats. In addition to being a key player in the sports world, the Illinois native has also been the vice president of the Trans International Airlines, a director of the Coca-Cola company since 1986, and the co-owner of the famous Pebble Beach golf course in California. Ueberroth has been working at the high level of business since he was in his early twenties, and has a lot to offer in terms of advice and stories about his experiences in big name businesses.
