Former Kentucky Players Continue to Hit the Appearance Trail in Kentucky

In the basketball-crazed state of Kentucky, former Wildcats players have no trouble finding a full helping of appearances to make.  The latest spot hit by just some of the seven players who declared for the NBA Draft this month was Wildcat Warehouse.

Willie Cauley-Stein was at the store in Hazard on Thursday and twin brothers Andrew and Aaron Harrison were at the Corbin location.

The trio of players was key contributors for some great moments in UK basketball history.  In 2013-14, they were on a team that started slow but made it all the way to the NCAA Championship team.

Then, this past season, they raced through the regular season and entered March Madness undefeated.

Aaron Harrison hit a pair of game-winning threes in Kentucky’s run to the title game two years ago.  He was the preseason SEC Player of the Year entering the 2014-15 campaign.

Andrew Harrison has been paired with his brother in the Wildcats backcourt. Each was a McDonald’s All-American coming out of the prep ranks in 2013.

Cauley-Stein has an even better final season in Lexington.  The big man was a first-team consensus All-American, first-team All-SEC pick, and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

Dakari Johnson, Devin Booker, Trey Lyles, and Karl-Anthony Towns are the five other Kentucky players who also decided to leave school early.  Expect plenty of opportunities for all as they each prepare for June’s NBA Draft.
