Former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo Stars on Super Bowl Broadcast Stage

This has been quite the banner year for former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. He has become a greater part of the national conversation around football than perhaps he ever did during his playing career as CBS Sports' lead NFL analyst.

Romo got to work his first Super Bowl on Sunday and continued to follow through with the same excellent analysis he has been delivering during his two years on television. People particularly took note of his commentating just a few weeks ago when he gave great insight late in a close AFC Championship Game.

In the lead-up to the game, Romo was in the spotlight and had one of the most popular media sessions of the week. He kept a low-scoring Super Bowl light and highlighted several individual players and matchups with the telestrator.

Romo played for the Cowboys for 14 seasons and was a four-time Pro Bowler. In 2014, he led the NFL in passer rating and was selected as a second-team All-Pro.

As an undrafted player out of Eastern Illinois, Romo's rise to one of most high-profile positions in sports was nothing short of remarkable. He is Dallas' all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns.

Romo retired following the 2016 season with over 34,000 passing yards and 248 passing touchdowns. In addition to his broadcasting career, he is currently active with several charity groups in the Dallas area.
