Former College Football Coach Mark Richt to Speak at Notre Dame Clinic

After retiring from coaching this offseason, Mark Richt is taking a step into the next phase of his life. He will most certainly be a popular speaking, addressing faith-based topics and talking football with crowds across the South. 

Richt's first post-retirement speaking engagement will take place at the Notre Dame Football Coaches Clinic. The event takes place March 28-30 and features presentations from Irish head coach Brian Kelly and all ten assistant coaches. 

Richt joins a list of individuals that have spoken at the event, including Bob Stoops, Lou Holtz and Bill Belichick. Coaches can register for $70 as individuals or $50 each in groups of six or more. 

Richt spent the previous three seasons coaching at his alma mater, the University of Miami. In 2017, the Hurricanes won the ACC Coastal Division and he was named Walter Camp Coach of the Year. 

Over 15 seasons at the University of Georgia, Richt racked up one of the most impressive resumes in college football coaching. He went 145-51 overall, with two Southeastern Conference titles and five SEC East Division crowns. 

Richt was named SEC Coach of the Year twice and ACC Coach of the Year once. Before becoming a head coach, he was the offensive coordinator at Florida State, where he won two national titles on Bobby Bowden's staff.
